You DO NOT want to miss it!
Whether you’re new to homeschooling or a seasoned veteran, God wants you to have homeschool sanity. The overwhelm, insecurity, and confusion we feel are not from Him. In this keynote session, psychologist and 20-year homeschool veteran Dr. Melanie Wilson will share simple steps that will give you clarity, purpose, and peace of mind in your homeschooling.
In this hands-on workshop, Dr. Melanie Wilson will take us through the process of planning a homeschool week that is relaxed, yet productive. This method works for families whether they have a consistent or a crazy schedule. Bring your calendars! Planning sheets are included.
In this session we’ll talk about what a Relaxed Charlotte Mason homeschool is and discuss some of the different parts of the lifestyle. We’ll learn about Enchantment planning and show you how to easily add sparks of joy to your homeschool.
Parenting children with special needs is hard — homeschooling can be even harder. In this hands-on workshop, homeschooler and veteran special needs mom Terrie McKee will encourage parents that life skills and therapies count just as much as language arts and math in homeschool. Drawing upon her 25+ years’ experience with having special needs children, Terrie will lead participants in hands-on activities such as planning a month of homeschool including therapies, life skills, academics, and other opportunities. Come with your planners and lists of therapy dates (if applicable) and medical appointments for a month of your choosing.
Weekly planning is essential for a relaxed and productive homeschool. But your plan won’t help you if you aren’t also planning your days. This hands-on workshop with Dr. Melanie Wilson will guide us in planning a homeschool day that is sustainable and rewarding. Bring your Bible or Bible app.
In this session we’ll go into detail on how you can add more fun and inspiration to your homeschool with Book Clubs, Poetry Teatimes and more. We’ll walk through what you need and how to get started planning new adventures in your homeschool through literature.
Homeschooling isn’t all sunshine and roses. Life happens, and our planning goes out the window. In this hands-on workshop, homeschooler and speaker Terrie McKee will teach participants how to handle days in which chronic pain is through the roof, kids are sick, parents are dealing with all.the.stuff, and watching documentaries on YouTube counts as class. Terrie will encourage parents that the life skills children learn in hard seasons are just as important as spelling and math. Hands-on activities include making personalized contingency plans in addition to other resources.
