As a child, I have always enjoyed math. So, when we decided to homeschool I thought teaching Math would be a breeze. At first, it wasn’t hard. As my son got older I realized that he needed a math curriculum that would be engaging, have short lessons and complement his learning style.
I also was looking for a math curriculum that my son could do independently. We have two little ones in tow so having my oldest do his lessons on his own would be ideal. Anyone that has little ones at home knows how challenging it can be to homeschool your older children while keeping up with the younger ones. That’s when CTC Math entered the picture.
Early this year I was thrilled that we were able to take CTC Math for a test drive. My son was excited that he would be able to do his math lessons online. The fact that he was excited about it made me happy. I was hopeful that we may have finally found a math curriculum that would be a great fit for our family.
The Benefits of CTC Math for Homeschool Families
There are many benefits to this math curriculum. Let me share with you the benefits that I LOVE about this awesome program…..
1) CTC Math is a complete Math Curriculum
You get unlimited access to all lessons and all grade levels K-12 grade. This is a HUGE benefit for homeschool families. This feature alone makes it worth signing up! By having access to all grade levels you would be able to customize the lessons to meet each of your child’s needs. Also, everything is already set up for you so there is no prep work involved, which is a win for this mama.
2) It’s at an affordable price.
By purchasing the family membership plan you will have access to all lessons for all your children. One Math curriculum for all! So if you are a large homeschool family CTC Math will definitely save you hundreds of dollars.
3) The lessons are short.
The video tutorials last under 10 minutes which is the perfect amount of time for your child to stay engaged and focused on the lesson. Each video tutorial explains a concept of the math lesson step-by-step which makes it easy to understand. The number of math problems given after each lesson are not many so it’s not overwhelming for your child.
4) It has both a Parent and Student Dashboards.
Parent Dashboard
There is a parent dashboard that keeps you informed. It lets you see your child’s progress, weekly reports, and activities. You are also able to set up tasks you want your child to complete. There is also a Parent’s Guide with video tutorials that explain how you can effectively use the parent dashboard.
Student dashboard
There is a student dashboard that will let your child see their grade, math concept lessons, current award and a scale where they can be rated on their understanding of each lesson. I find the rating scale to be super helpful as it shows me if my child can benefit from extra practice on a particular math concept.
5) It’s self-paced.
Your child can go at their own pace which helps build their confidence. I love that because it helps them not become overwhelmed and makes learning math fun and not stressful.

- It works great with any school calendar that you may use for your homeschool.

Why this Mama of Littles Love CTC Math
Right now I’m in a beautiful but tiring season. As mentioned before, I’m in the season of having a couple younger gifts, so finding curriculums that require little assistance from me helps my homeschool days go a lot smoother.
CTC Math is one of those curriculums that do just that. It helps me to stay consistent in making sure my son is doing Math every day. There is no prep work involved and my son can log in on his own. When he’s finished with his lesson for the day I can quickly review his math problems and answer any questions he may have if any.
The fact that my son enjoys doing his Math lessons and the confidence that I seen in him when he completes a lesson is priceless. It makes this mamas heart happy!
My 9-year-olds review of CTC Math
Here is what my son had to say about this wonderful program.
I love CTC Math because it’s easy and the lessons are short. When I do my math problems I like that they are all related to what I just learned. The math questions are not many so it doesn’t take me a long time to complete them. I’m also able to rate myself based on my understanding of the lesson. By rating myself it helps me see where I might need the extra practice when I look back through my lessons.
