Sharing is caring!

There are so many homeschool conferences available now then there were years ago.

It’s a blessing to be able to find encouragement, inspiration and practical help at these conferences. We are also able to shop for our favorite homeschool curriculums and resources as well as discover new ones at discounted prices from many of our favorite homeschool companies and brands.

We learn a lot from these conferences but many times feel overwhelmed with all the information we have gathered from all the speakers we have listened to and when we get home after the conference we may feel like we don’t know where to begin or how to process it all.

I’ve been homeschooling for 8 years now and haven’t seen yet a homeschool conference that focuses on planning. You see planning is an essential part of preparing for your homeschool year.

It doesn’t matter which homeschool method you use, if you are a routine or scheduled type person, or if you are organized or not….planning is crucial.

It helps us stay focus on our homeschool goals, mission and vision as we live life together.

The Intentional Homeschool Planning Conference

Knowing how important and beneficial it is to plan and seeing that there isn’t many homeschool planning conferences that assist you through the process of planning your year I decided to host the Intentional Homeschool Planning Conference which I designed just for you!

This unique homeschool conference is entirely focused on “planning” your ideal homeschool year in a way that works for YOUR family.

While you’re at the conference, you can take action and plan your homeschool year with purpose and peace.

Conference attendees will also hear from Dr. Melanie Wilson, Dachelle McVey and Terrie McKee who are seasoned homeschoolers that share simple, yet powerful, ideas that you can apply right away.

You’ll leave the conference feeling confident and equipped with your family’s customized plan that you can adapt for each year of your entire homeschool journey.

Homeschool Planning with Special Needs- Terrie McKee

Parenting children with special needs is hard — homeschooling can be even harder. In this hands-on workshop, homeschooler and veteran special needs mom Terrie McKee will encourage parents that life skills and therapies count just as much as language arts and math in homeschool. Drawing upon her 25+ years’ experience with having special needs children, Terrie will lead participants in hands-on activities such as planning a month of homeschool including therapies, life skills, academics, and other opportunities. Come with your planners and lists of therapy dates (if applicable) and medical appointments for a month of your choosing.

Session 2

How to Plan a Simple, Sane Homeschool Day- Melanie Wilson

Weekly planning is essential for a relaxed and productive homeschool. But your plan won’t help you if you aren’t also planning your days. This hands-on workshop with Dr. Melanie Wilson will guide us in planning a homeschool day that is sustainable and rewarding. Bring your Bible or Bible app.

Adventures In Literature Planning Workshop- Dachelle McVey

In this session we’ll go into detail on how you can add more fun and inspiration to your homeschool with Book Clubs, Poetry Teatimes and more. We’ll walk through what you need and how to get started planning new adventures in your homeschool through literature.

Homeschooling in the Hard Times- Terrie McKee

Homeschooling isn’t all sunshine and roses. Life happens, and our planning goes out the window. In this hands-on workshop, homeschooler and speaker Terrie McKee will teach participants how to handle days in which chronic pain is through the roof, kids are sick, parents are dealing with all.the.stuff, and watching documentaries on YouTube counts as class. Terrie will encourage parents that the life skills children learn in hard seasons are just as important as spelling and math. Hands-on activities include making personalized contingency plans in addition to other resources.
