I couldn’t wait to get my hands on Matt Redman’s new album “Glory Song,” being that it was something new from a renowned artist who I always found was filled with passion.

Just in case you aren’t familiar with who Matt Redman is…..

Matt Redman is a two-time Grammy winner now doing his 13th album with a return to recording in a studio. You may be familiar with some of his songs not knowing it was him, for example, “Blessed Be Your Name”, “Better is One Day”, “The Heart of Worship” and “You Never Let Go”, just to name a few.

Matt Redman was and still is an active worship leader whose songs have been recorded by the likes of Chris Tomlin, Israel Houghton, Jeremy Camp, Michael W. Smith, along with others.

My thoughts on Matt Redman’s “Glory Song” album.

I enjoyed this album although it wasn’t quite what I had expected. It was different from his other albums in which he featured many other Christian artists like Kierra Sheard and Tasha Cobbs Leonard just to name a few.

There were many great points to this album which I like to mention.

  • I liked the precision of the studio sound in the music.
  • I enjoyed the addition of the choir in the background on some of the tracks.
  • The words were inspirational and moving.
  • The unity among Christian artists and the collaboration with them.
  • Each song has great potential to minister to somebody.

My absolute favorite song on the album was “Questions (You Are Faithful)” the words were powerful and ministered to my soul. I felt the spirit of God just listening to it. In the times that we are facing now, around the world there is no better song then “Questions (You Are Faithful)” to remind us that despite the chaos around us God is faithful and constant. I also loved how the music worked and flowed wonderfully well with the words.

Another one well worthy of mention is “Your Ways”. I think the title says it all!

I think that church worship teams and youthful new believers would be drawn to the album and it will assist the latter especially in developing a closer relationship with the Lord.

  1. This is so awesome! I have found music as a calming and inspiring and great teach tool for my children. They learn from it, it calms them when energy runs wild, it energizes them, helps them memorize and remember things, and also helps them create! Love this!!
