I want to thank my sponsor, Ergobaby, for supplying this free Ergobaby Omni 360 baby carrier so I can try it out and write this review and post! All opinions are my own. This post also contains affiliate links.
When we first found out we were expecting baby number 2 we were excited! We couldn’t wait to meet our little bundle of joy. As we prepared for our little guy I created a baby registry list with only the practical things that I would need for him. On that list, I registered for a baby wrap carrier.
I wasn’t familiar with baby carriers at the time so I didn’t register for one. At my baby shower, my friend gifted me the baby wrap carrier I registered for and I was excited about it. When my son was about a month old I tried using the carrier I received at my shower but he was not fond of it at all. So it was hardly used.
When my baby boy was around 3 months old a friend of mine had the Original Ergobaby Carrier. She raved about how awesome it was and how I HAD to try it for myself. So she let me borrow hers when we were going for a walk by the lake with our littles.
In the short time that I used it, I knew I had to get one! It was wonderful! My little guy fell right asleep within the first 10 minutes that I placed him in the carrier. I thanked my friend for letting me try it out and told her I was sold. She mentioned to me that she knew of someone that had an Original Ergobaby carrier that was hardly used and was looking to sell it.
I got in contact with her friend and I purchased it. It was one of the best investments we had made!
It took away the stress that I was feeling when I couldn’t get things done or keep up with my everyday tasks. What a difference it made in our lives. My hands were freed up to do a lot of what I needed to do as well as what I wanted to do.
My thoughts on the Ergobaby Original Carrier
This carrier saved my sanity! Well not totally, but you get the drift. I was able to continue walk by the lake with our littles as well as continue to homeschool my oldest. My little guy was comfortable with it and so was I! I didn’t realize what I was missing out on in not getting this carrier sooner.
Let me share with you some of the features that I liked from the Ergobaby Original baby carrier. I liked how it was comfortable for me and my baby. The padded straps provide support on your shoulders and upper back. I like that it has a roomy pocket on the outside where you can store the hood when you aren’t using it.
It also has a large, zipped storage pocket where I can store my essentials. That comes in very handy when you are going on a nature walk, the zoo or just grocery shopping. Having one less thing to carry is a mama’s dream….well in my book it is!
A quick reference in bullet form.
- It has a roomy pocket on the outside where I can store the hood.
- Its comfortable and Ergonomic for both me and my baby.
- It has large, zippered storage pocket to store your essentials.
- It has padded straps which help support my back and my baby.
- You can nurse your baby right inside the carrier.
It would have been nice if this carrier would have a lumbar to provide lower back support, had the option to put my baby in a front outward carry position and provided a better neck and head support for the baby. Even though these weren’t features on this particular baby carrier I still find that it was worth getting. It was still a great carrier to have on hand.
I used this baby carrier until my little guy was a toddler. This carrier was very well loved! We used it when we went on nature trails, to the zoo, the aquarium, shopping, when we traveled, on walks and the list can go on. I was very pleased with this carrier! I was not the only one in the family to use this carrier, my husband did as well. He didn’t have a problem putting it on and found it to be comfortable and enjoyed having little man close to him.
Blessed the third time!
Eighteen months later we found out we were expecting baby number 3 and were overjoyed once again. This time I was both equipped with and thankful that I had not sold my Ergobaby Original carrier. This way I could use it once again and feel that we really got our money’s worth. Now in adding another little blessing to our family, I was concerned about how I would be able to keep up with the routine that I had just set for our boys.
So I went back to the drawing board in figuring out a new routine that would work for our soon to be a family of five. I was confident that when our third little blessing arrive the carrier would come to the rescue once again. To my dismay, my little guy didn’t like the carrier as much as my second son did. Don’t get me wrong he didn’t mind being in it but it couldn’t be for a long period of time.
When he turned 6 months I was given the opportunity to try out the Ergobaby Omni 360 and I was thrilled. I had seen the latest model and noticed that the things that were cons for me with the Original were greatly improved with the Ergobaby Omni 360.
My thoughts on the Ergobaby Omni 360 Carrier
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the Ergobaby Omni 360. I was hoping that with the new changes my little man would enjoy the carrier. So when I received it, I took it out of the box and became familiar with all the new features and looked over the manual.
I set it up and put my little guy in and he was quite content and happy. He didn’t mind being in this new baby carrier for a long period of time. I believe the reason was that I was able to adjust the leg width position that was just right for his size that made him feel much more comfortable.
Now let’s highlight the features that I LOVE about the Ergobaby Omni 360 baby carrier. I really like that it is an all-in-one carrier. It grows with your child from week 1 to 36 months so there is no need for a baby insert. Woohoo! It has lumbar support for extra back comfort which was an added feature. Yay!
It has 4 carry positions which are front inward, front outward, hip and back carry. There are 3 different leg width options from newborn to toddler and all you have to do to adjust it is moving the velcro tabs.
I like that it has a detachable storage pouch where you can store your essentials. That within itself is a lovely addition to the new carrier. I like the fact that there is extra padding where the baby sits making it comfortable for the baby. It also has good head and neck support.

I’m a Stress and Hands-Free Mama with my New Ergobaby Omni 360
Wow!! Right?! Talk about an all-in-one carrier! We both really LOVE this carrier and it just makes living life a lot easier. I love that he is safe and that I’m able to continue to do things with my two oldest. Let’s not forget that I can still keep up with my other responsibilities.
Being able to ease back into a routine with a new baby is priceless. This carrier is worth the investment. It will last you a long time and adjust to your growing baby.

Thank you Jessica for sharing your post on the Ergobaby Omni 360 post. Baby carriers are a godsend. My daughter always wanted to be carried, never in a stroller. I could walk everywhere with her and have my hands-free.
What is your favorite activity to do while using your baby carrier?
I’m so glad you enjoyed the post. Baby carriers are truly a blessing! One of my favorite activity to do while using my carrier would have to be being able to go on fun trips with my two oldest. 🙂

Man, I wish my kids liked the baby carrier! Both girls hated/hate it with a passion! 🙁 But it would make my life so much easier if I could babywear!
I’m so sorry to hear that your girls didn’t like the baby carrier. There are so many baby carriers on the market and sometimes you just need to try different ones to see which one is a good fit for you and your baby. I had tried a couple of other ones that my sons didn’t like but I was so glad that I found one that they liked. I agree that babywearing makes life so much better. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts.
This carrier looks like such a sanity saver and a clever tool that every mom needs in her arsenal. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. This was a huge help.
